Today we got notice from the German ASN, DMSB, that the International German Rallycross Championship is cancelled for the year 2020. This was evident after last race on the calender was cancelled. It was the race at Melk, Austria and it was to be questioned anyway, if a German Championship would be possible with only one round, taking place outside Germany.
Mischa Eifert who is coordinator of motorsport racing for cars at DMSB (Deutscher Motor Sport Bund e.V.), told rallycross.com: “We are already working on a concept with the DRX Committee for Season 2021 and hope to come back to full action next year.”
Registration fees (Einschreibegebühren) that drivers may have payed, will soon be reimbursed.
