Hansen Motorsport commits to a new electric era of Rallycross

Today Hansen Motorsport, one of the most decorated teams in rallycross history, revealed plans to what they call “The biggest-ever commitment to the discipline by investing in a multi-year programme in the new electric era of the FIA World Rallycross Championship.”

The team will stick to their fast and successful driver pairing of Timmy Hansen (29) and Kevin Hansen (23) for 2022.

Timmy and Kevin will use re-designed electric cars, based on the previously used Peugeot 208 platform. The car was completely re-engineered to adopt the all-new homologated electric powertrain from Kreisel, which is the standard in FIA World Rallycross now. Concept and Design was done in-house at Hansen Motorsport’s workshops in Götene, Sweden.

Further insigths can be gained in a video, that the team published today, including a launch livery. The real race livery will revealed in a later news ahead of the season.
